I'm on vacation! And it's amazing.
Kauai is absolutely gorgeous. Every time you look out the car window, it's another glorious vista. The epic views and its quiet charm are totally winning me over. This island is a lot quieter than Maui. It's the epitome of small towns.
Besides sight seeing, and enjoying the time off work, it's been great being reunited with the family.

We drove to the North Shore yesterday. It took us about an hour and a half to drive to "the end of the road" aka, the end of the highway.
{and I thought we had a lot of wild chickens on Maui! Kauai has us beat. Roosters and chickens are all over the place!}

We ended up eating at The Dolphin restaurant in Hanalei. By the time we arrived, it had started to rain. I've been surprised by how chilly I've been since arriving! I should have packed that extra pair of pants...oops.
Today, we went to the Clubhouse at Kukui'ula--the sister resort to Martis Camp, the development that my family lives in. The clubhouse and spa are super swanky. I felt like a celebrity getting pampered head to toe.

I'm just a few days into vacation, and I'm already feeling spoiled and relaxed. I love vacation. Do I really have to go to back to work in two weeks?
