As you know, I'm a big fan of Mindy Kaling. She has a blog of her own which I highly recommend you check out. On her blog, she has a regular featured titled "Things I Bought that I Love" where she gushes about a purchase that--you guessed it--that she loves.
I'm totally stealing her idea.
Writers do that. We steal from one another.
Do you like that I just called myself a writer? I figure if I say it enough, I'll do more of it--writing, that is. I'm aiming to have a bite that's as bad as my bark.
I really only wear makeup to work these days, but even though I was only wearing it for a few hours, I had the hardest time taking it off my face. I liked the idea of "gentle" eye makeup removers because who likes the idea of using "non-gentle" methods of rubbing eyeliner and glittery eye shadows off your lids? No one, that's who.
But the gentle eye makeup removers, even the ones from Clinique, left small smudges under my eyes or remnants of eye shadow in the corners of my lids. Not cute.
I was at Foodland a few weeks ago in desperate need for a makeup remover replacement. I don't use the words "desperate" lightly. I had totally and completely run out of makeup remover.
This should come as a surprise to no one. I'll use something and realize that it's life is slowly coming to an end, but instead of picking up a replacement in a timely fashion so I have smooth transition to a new product, I'll wait--not even to the last possible moment, but until it's way past the last possible moment.
At Foodland, with eye makeup totally smeared across my lids from the night before, I found this small plastic bottle from Maybelline:
It's an oil based eye makeup remover, which I wasn't totally excited about, but it was my only option.
And it's an awesome option. It does leave my lids a little oily, but I just rinse with water when I'm done.
The Expert Eyes makeup remover quickly takes off even the most stubborn and waterproof of my eyeliners. I'm a convert for life.
