Yesterday afternoon as the sun was setting, I decided to hike up the very steep Lahainaluna Road to the high school. The high school's elevation is 466 feet from sea level, which was my starting point.
The last time I had attempted this hike was in November when I first moved to Maui. It was the most ridiculous, painful exercise I had ever done so I never did it again...until now.
I did remember the view was pretty spectacular last time, so I decided to bring a camera with me and I also decided to walk this time rather than run.
I ended up breaking the walking rule and jogged portions of the steep incline. Once I made it to the school, I jumped a fence and did a half mile on the school track before taking photos and heading back down the hill.
