Maui life is so great. Bryan and I went to look at a daybed that one of my girlfriends from work is selling before she leaves island, but we fell in love with her pet chameleon instead.
My friend said that she had found the chameleon at a beach park when it was itty bitty and brought it home with her.
I love that wild chameleons roam Maui. That's so fantastic.
My friend is obviously not going to travel with her chameleon, so she's looking for someone who would be interested in adopting it.
Hmm...I think I could be down with having a little reptile friend!
After leaving her house, Bryan and I went up north a ways to Airport Beach for a late afternoon reading and sunset session. The weather was perfect. It was slightly overcast with a sharp breeze picking up a light spray of misty rain.
After sweating it out in Lahaina the past week, the cold and the wet was a welcome reprieve.
And then we got a killer sunset.
It was kind of amazing how many people came out of the woodwork to watch this sunset. As you can see, I wasn't the only one snapping photos.
After the sun dropped down behind the water, someone hanging out on one of the balconies on a condo behind the beach burst into applause. It was contagious. Pretty much everyone on the beach began to follow suit.
"See you tomorrow," Bryan said to the vanished sun.
Only on Maui.
