Today was a big day for Bryan and me. We made a total of seven trips up and down Lahainaluna hill between our current abodes and our new home.
I moved everything in my studio apartment in 2 car loads, then we borrowed Will and Ashley's truck to move all the furniture from Bryan's place to the new apartment.
{Bryan behind the wheel}
{the view from our new place: the ocean and the island of Lanai on the horizon}
{loading the truck for the first time: box spring, mattress and bed frame}
{the second load in the truck: furniture odds and ends}
It was a long, grueling day of moving under the hot Lahaina sun, but I am pretty happy with how much we got done.
All of my stuff is moved into the new apartment. Bryan has a few pieces here and there at his old house, and the landlord is still doing a few odd jobs in the new place. We'll indulge the intrusion since the landlord is doing a pretty impeccable job of perfecting everything in the house.
Instead of spending tomorrow settling things in the new house, we are going scuba diving! Our good friend is taking a huge group of us out diving before he leaves island. Should be fun! Unfortunately, there will be no underwater snaps from me since I have learned (the hard way) that the Panasonic Lumix I have cannot be submerged that deep for too long.
Once we have the house settled a little more, we'll start including photos of the interior so keep your eyeballs peeled!
