After our hike upstream on the Pipiwai Trail, we drove back towards Hana town to check out some beaches.
We accidentally drove past the famous Hamoa Beach, but we landed at the smaller Koki Beach.

After walking along Koki Beach, we got back into the car and headed back towards Hamoa Beach--famous for its great bodysurfing.
You have to park up on the road, then follow the paved path down to the beach.

{cloudy skies equals zero crowds at Hamoa Beach}
{Bryan and Carolyn heading into the waves}
I watched Carolyn and Bryan play in the surf for a bit, before I decided to leave the safety of my beach towel and book and head in and try to catch some waves.
I got a few good rides, and also managed to eat a whole lot of sand after one unsuccessful attempt.
Just another beautiful day in paradise.
