The only reason I was able to drag my weary body out of bed this afternoon was for the promise of a delectable lunch.
I decided that I wanted to go to Honu and try more of their amazing menu. Luckily, I was able to talk my friend Alfredo into joining me.
Once we sat down, he ordered the Ahi Bruschetta without a moment of hesitation. And it's easy to see why.
The base is toasted flax seed bread smothered in an edamame puree topped with fresh, mouthwatering Olowalu tomatoes and slices of crusted, seared Ahi. A dash of microgreens and a swirl of 20 year aged Balsamic vinegar. Delicious!!
Happily, I discovered that Honu serves brunch on the weekends, so I decided to treat myself to some breakfast food.
I got the Sakakousha, a Middle Eastern dish of two poached eggs in a tomato sauce. Honu serves pita on the side as well as a kale salad topped with three Lamb Riblets.

Absolutely delicious.
And now I'm ready to take a nap before work.
